1. The Wolf Cut

This is a style that all of the biggest celebs and influencers are loving, which is in essence a ‘creative’ and modern twist on the mullet. Inspired by its choppy texture, this cut follows a similar pattern but has the wearability and softness of a shag cut. To enhance a wolf cut with extensions, Jess uses tapes or individual extension pieces, in order to define the length and create volume and texture to perfect the wolf cut style. To best maintain this style at home, Jess recommends using the GHD styler to create texture, and to finish - sprinkle on some texture dust.

90’s Layers

Another ‘safer’, or less drastic look from the 90’s that is back in full force, are 90’s style layers. These are perfect for those who are not ready to go full throwback and take the plunge and go short with the grunge bob. We’ve had lots of clients asking for long, choppy textured layers below the chin, with lots of soft lines and a lot of volume!. Jess enhances 90’s layers with extensions, by creating volume, length, and texture. For styling, she recommends plenty of volume spray, and that using with a big, round brush on the root adds lift and extra volume.

The Shag

The effortlessly cool 70’s shag looks best when paired with natural movement and texture. Extensions can add the length through the baseline, and use the natural layers to create the texture. Application of the extensions can be done in 60 minutes and is surprisingly cost effective, perfect to top in to Brooks and Brooks for a lunch time appointment! When you leave the salon, It’s important to use lots of texturising spray to work with the natural movement of the hair. For best results with all extension services, we recommend a visit every 6-8 weeks to keep your hair looking its best.
